Hotel La Tour wedding photography | Milton Keynes
In the summer of 2023, I had the honour of being asked to photograph the wedding of Yvonne and Balazs at the wonderful Hotel La Tour in Milton Keynes. The venue itself was nothing short of breathtaking, with elegantly decorated rooms that set the perfect ambiance for such a special occasion.
As I captured each moment through my lens, I couldn't help but reflect on the love and commitment shared between Yvonne and Balazs. Theirs was a love story that radiated warmth and joy, and I felt privileged to witness and document such a beautiful couple.
preparations
The day began with an intimate gathering at their home, where the couple, surrounded by their closest family and friends, prepared for the ceremony together. It was a rare and precious few hours where Yvonne and Balazs had the opportunity to spend some quiet, uninterrupted time with each other before the whirlwind of the day began.
In a world filled with busyness and chaos, experiencing such intimacy before the ceremony was a rare and beautiful gift. It allowed Yvonne and Balazs to connect on a deeper level, strengthening the bond between them before they exchanged vows in front of their loved ones.
Ceremony
Upon arriving at the hotel, guests were greeted with glasses of bubbly in the elegant bar area, setting the tone for a day filled with celebration and joy. As we stepped out onto the private outdoor terrace, we were greeted by a radiant sun that seemed to shine just for the occasion. The weather was absolutely perfect, adding an extra layer of magic to an already enchanting day.
The terrace proved to be the ideal setting for both the ceremony and mingling with guests throughout the day. With its all-day sunshine and breathtaking views, it provided the perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories.
The ceremony itself was nothing short of perfection. Every detail was meticulously arranged, from the stunning red carpet to the white rose backdrop and velvet chair covers, each adorned with its own ribbon. The atmosphere was filled with love and anticipation as Yvonne and Balazs exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Group & COUPLE PORTRAITS
After the heartfelt congratulations from their loved ones, we ventured out onto the terrace for some group photographs. It was a wonderful time, filled with laughter and smiles, as we captured precious moments of the newly married couple surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The terrace provided the perfect backdrop for these photos, ensuring that each moment was captured in all its beauty for them to cherish forever.
Following the group photos, Yvonne, Balazs, and I took the lift to the 14th floor, where we were greeted by breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views over Campbell Park and the rest of the city. The views over Campbell Park served as the ideal opportunity for capturing more intimate moments between the couple, against the backdrop of the city skyline.
Even the lift ride itself provided an unexpected opportunity for some charming photos, adding an extra touch to the day. It was a truly unforgettable experience, filled with laughter, love, and beautiful memories that I will always treasure.
EVENING RECEPTION & PARTY
As the day turned into night, the events floor was transformed into an elegant setting for the wedding breakfast. The tables were beautifully arranged, and the ambiance was simply enchanting, especially with the option to step out onto the private outdoor terrace for a moment of tranquility amidst the celebration.
The wedding breakfast was a feast for the senses, with delicious food and drinks flowing freely, setting the stage for heartfelt speeches and laughter shared among friends and family. It was a joyous occasion, and the love in the air was palpable as everyone came together to celebrate the newlyweds.
With the arrival of the DJ, the energy soared even higher, and soon the dance floor was filled with guests, dancing the night away to the rhythm of the music. It was a scene of pure joy and happiness, a fitting end to a day filled with love and celebration.
As I reflect on the events of the day, I am reminded once again of the importance of celebrating love and cherishing the moments we share with our loved ones. Yvonne and Balazs's wedding day was a testament to the power of love and the joy that comes from being surrounded by those we hold dear.
