My passion for photography started years ago when my mum gave me her old Canon camera. I haven’t looked back since!

  • I was born amongst the roundabouts and concrete cows of Milton Keynes and have lived here most of my life, but in my early twenties, I decided to shake things up and chase the sunshine down under in Melbourne.

I spent over a year soaking up the sun down under, but when it comes down to it, there's just no place like home. Milton Keynes might not have kangaroos hopping down the street, but it's got its own unique charm that's hard to beat. (I didn’t mean to rhyme there!) So, after a year of adventures, I packed my bags and traded the Aussie beaches for home sweet home.

  • From the moment I got my hands on an old camera my mum passed down to me at 16, I was hooked on photography. Growing up with a professional photographer for a mum definitely rubbed off on me.

There's just something about capturing a photo that's always appealed to me. Every click of the shutter feels like I'm freezing a moment in time that we’ll never see again, and I couldn’t be happier making a living out of it. It's all about the creativity, the challenge, and the satisfaction of knowing I'm preserving memories for people to cherish forever.

  • Besides my passion for photography, I'm a huge travel junkie visiting over 30 countries and 8 months immersed in the beauty of Southeast Asia, I've learned that adventure is my happiness.

When I'm not exploring, you'll find me on the football pitch or golf course. Sport is a huge passion of mine. I support a team in red, that’s all I’ll say!!

Back in my late teens, I decided to test my vocal cords and ended up on the X Factor stage. Singing in front of thousands and facing celebrity judges was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. I think I prefer holding a camera!

  • Back at school, I did my work experience at a veterinary practice due to my love for animals. I have 2 cats and hopefully a big dog will be joining the family soon! In the end, being a vet wasn’t the route for me. I preferred the creative side to things.

Headshot of Tom Marvin Photography

We were fortunate to have Tom capture our wedding memories, and we're thrilled with the outcome! From our first meeting, Tom was professional, yet approachable, and we felt comfortable with him right away. He took the time to understand our preferences and what we wanted, and was always quick to respond to our questions, displaying a high level of organization. As the day approached, Tom continued to communicate with us, offering helpful tips and requesting details to ensure that everything went smoothly. On the actual day, Tom worked diligently from the beginning of the bridal preparations until late at night to capture the essence of our special day. He not only took charge of organizing the guests, but also worked well with our videographer to capture all the important moments without being obtrusive. We received our photos quickly and were amazed by their beauty. They exceeded our expectations and captured the essence of our special day. We highly recommend Tom for other wedding events, and we plan to book him for family portrait sessions in the future.
